Okay… how much is this actually going to cost?+
Honest answer: it depends on what you want. A solid small-business site usually lands between £400–£700. Something with custom features or a shop is a bit more. Either way I'll send you a clear quote — no hidden bits, no agency markup. If it's out of budget I'll just say so.
How long until I've got a real, live website?+
Most small business sites are done in 1–3 weeks once you've signed off the design. Bigger projects (shops, custom apps) usually 4–6. I'll always tell you a timeline upfront and stick to it.
I'm tiny / new / not very techy. Will you still work with me?+
Honestly, those are my favourite clients. Loads of the people I work with run small Cornish businesses and have never touched a CMS in their life. I'll handle the techy bits and explain anything you want to understand — in plain English.
Will Google actually find my site?+
Yep. Every site I build comes with proper on-page SEO baked in — meta tags, structured data, fast load times, a sitemap, the lot. I can also help with local SEO if you want to rank for stuff like 'plumber in Truro'. Google won't crown you king overnight, but you'll be set up properly from day one.
Why not just go to a big agency?+
You can! But agencies have offices, account managers, and a whole stack of overheads — and you pay for all of that. With me, you get the person who's actually designing and building your site. Faster replies, more personal, way cheaper. Bit of a no-brainer.
What if I don't like the design?+
Then we change it. Seriously. I share designs in Figma early so you can poke at them before a single line of code gets written. Revisions are normal — I'd rather you be picky now than unhappy later.
